After her arrest in Texas last week for hash and marijuana possession, Fiona Apple apologized for her transgressions during her show in New Orleans last night, TMZ reports. Before starting her set at the House of Blues, Apple expressed her frustration that the arrest is taking attention away from her recent album, The Idler Wheel... "This record with me... I'm really, really sorry. All the work we did is being overshadowed by this bullshit," she told the crowd.
Apple also downplayed her earlier "lock box" comments, in which she said she was storing a record of police abuse during her arrest in a special "lock box." "There are no fucking lock boxes. I didn't make up a code," said Apple. "It was my way to make a parallel between the self. I am not that fucked up."
