The most personal track from Emmylou Harris' new disc Hard Bargain is "Darlin' Kate," a tribute to the late folk singer Kate McGarrigle. Harris performed the track recently at a Sirius/XM taping. "It was hard to write," Harris tells Rolling Stone. "Losing somebody is a very powerful emotion. And to try to find a way to put it into words...It doesn’t make it any easier but somehow it’s just part of the process of letting go." McGarrigle – the mother of Rufus and Martha Wainwright – died last year after a long battle with cancer.
