Eric Prydz Dreams of Depeche Mode
'They're one of the sole reasons for me doing what I do,' says DJ-producer

DJ-producer Eric Prydz dropped by Rolling Stone's Rock Room and shared his thoughts on his dream collaboration, keeping new music exclusive to his live set, and his stage setup. "I would love to do something with Martin Gore from Depeche Mode," Prydz said. "The music he's been writing since the Eighties is one of the sole reasons for me doing what I do today."

Prydz likes to save his new tracks for his live shows, only giving fans a discreet peek through his mixes. "If you want to hear new music, come and see it live," he said. But it's all part of his artistic approach. "I don't really make music to release. I make music that I feel is missing from my record box when I'm out DJing," Prydz said. Fans who grow impatient will get their wish, as Prydz plans on releasing plenty of music in 2013.
