Elton John Takes 'Mexican Vacation' in L.A. Studio
Singer performs new song for intimate audience in Hollywood

Ahead of The Diving Board, Elton John's first studio recording of all-new solo material since 2006, the veteran performer renders this rollicking performance clip of "Mexican Vacation (Kids in the Candlelight)." Shot in black in white before an intimate audience at Capitol Studios in Hollywood earlier this year, the video – which follows up his recent ballad "Home Again" – represents another of the 12 fresh Bernie Taupin collaborations that John tracked with producer T Bone Burnett last year.

Where Does Elton John Rank on Our 100 Greatest Artists List?

For his latest effort – which is due out on September 24th – Sir Elton was backed by Doyle Bramhall on guitar, R&B singer-producer Raphael Saadiq on bass, Keefus Ciancia on keyboards and drummer Jay Bellerose. In conjunction with the release of The Diving Board, John and his band will perform a series of European concerts early next month before taking the stage at the IHeartRadio Music Festival on September 20th in Las Vegas. The Diving Board is available for pre-order here.
