Drake Performs Medley of New Songs on VMAs
Rapper blends 'Hold on We're Going Home' and 'Started From the Bottom'

Drake sang a medley of new songs last night at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, starting with the first live performance of "Hold on We're Going Home." After an introduction from T-Boz and Chilli of TLC, the singer and rapper began his performance with a camera shot framed to look like the recently revealed cover art for Nothing Was the Same, his forthcoming new album.

Drake sang the smooth song in profile before transitioning to "Started From the Bottom" as he made his way through the crowd and onto the main stage. Smoke drifted through and spotlights roamed over the crowd while he performed.

Nothing Was the Same will be released on September 24th.
