Behind the scenes at the Australian DJ's massive Thanksgiving show

Australian DJ Dirty South visited North America for two months recently, and he wrapped up his tour at Los Angeles' Hollywood Palladium with a massive, sold-out show over Thanksgiving weekend. Here, Dirty South gives a behind-the-scenes look into the bittersweet exhilaration of his closing gig, one that marked the five-year anniversary of his first Los Angeles appearance.

Dirty South's live show expanded beyond just audio with dancers and performers themed around his track "City of Dreams." "It's based on a dreamcatcher," Dirty South tells Rolling Stone, noting the hit song's artwork. And after five years, he's built a special bond with the City of Angels. "Since [my first L.A. show], every L.A. show was been incredible," he says. "The crowd just really get into it. They know the music; they love to rage."
