Diana Krall Honors Neil Armstrong With 'Fly Me to the Moon'
Singer performs at a memorial service for iconic astronaut
September 14, 2012 10:10 AM
Singer Diana Krall paid an appropriate tribute to the late Neil Armstrong yesterday, singing "Fly Me to the Moon" at a memorial service for the iconic astronaut. Honoring the first man to walk on the moon, Krall performed a bare, emotional rendition of the song on a grand piano, giving the track a melancholy tint quite removed from Frank Sinatra's famously jolly take.
Neil Armstong died on August 25th. He was 82.
