David Bowie Contest Winner Transforms Into 'Ziggy Stardust' – Premiere
Classic album gets impressive fan tribute

David Bowie's classic album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars celebrated its 40th anniversary in June with a newly remastered version and a contest hosted by EMI and Genero TV that asked fans to create their own music videos for the hit track "Ziggy Stardust." In the winning entry, which you can watch here, a fan transforms into Bowie with uncanny accuracy, dressing himself up in Ziggy's iconic garb and makeup and owning the stage. He starts off as a simple guy, shaven and bare – but by the clip's end, he truly becomes the interstellar rock star.
