'Chozen' Is FX's New Animated Gay White Rapper - Premiere
Behind the scenes with Method Man and 'SNL' star Bobby Moynihan

Bobby Moynihan and Nick Swardson get on Method Man's nerves in this hilarious behind-the-scenes clip from FX's new animated series Chozen. The video, appropriately titled "Method Acting," was shot during voice tracking for the show, which premieres January 13th at 10:30 P.M. ET/PT.

The 50 Funniest People Now

Method Man takes the mic in the role of Phantasm in the half-hour comedy, which centers around the title character, voiced by Saturday Night Live's Moynihan. According to the network, Chozen is a gay white rapper just out of prison who has his sights set on becoming one of the genre's superstars.

Through his music and lyrics, Chozen seeks to break down hip-hop's stereotypes during the first season's 13-episode run. The series was created by writer and executive producer Grant Dekernion (Eastbound and Down). Executive producers Adam Reed and Matt Thompson of Floyd County Productions – veterans of FX's other animated half-hour comedy, Archer – will animate the series.

Chozen also stars comedy writer Hannibal Buress as Crisco, Michael Pena (Gangster Squad, End of Watch) as Ricky, Swardson as Troy, Gary Anthony Williams as Jamal and more. Chozen will follow Archer, which moves to Mondays on FX in the 10 P.M. ET/PT time slot.
