Cass McCombs
'The Same Thing'
Matthew Perpetua

Back in the Sixties and Seventies, it was pretty common for artists to drop multiple studio albums in a year. These days it's so rare that it's sort of amazing when someone like Cass McCombs pulls it off. In April the songwriter released Wit's End, and next week its sister album, Humor Risk, will hit shelves. "The Same Thing," the first video from the record,  establishes the disc's intriguing blend of dark folk melodies and tuneful, organ-centric psychedelia.
