Bono and the Edge Cover 'Get Lucky'
U2 members join Nile Rodgers on the Daft Punk hit following a charity auction

Although Bono often comes across like a pretty serious guy, he knows how to cut loose, too: the U2 singer threw down with the Edge and Nile Rodgers on a cover of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" this past weekend at a charity auction in New York.

Where Does Bono Rank on Our 100 Greatest Singers List?

Rodgers, who co-wrote "Get Lucky," was playing with his band Chic at an afterparty following an auction for the AIDS charity (RED), which raised more than $12.8 million, according to Sotheby's. Bono doesn't seem entirely certain of the lyrics in this fan-shot video, but he definitely looks like he's having fun, with the other musicians and the audience members helping out on the chorus.

It's not the first time Bono has showed his sense of humor in public this year. At a Clinton Global Initiative panel in September, the singer offered an impression of Bill Clinton when the former president was late coming to the stage, drawing laughter from the audience.

U2 are putting the finishing touches on a new album that is expected to come out sometime next spring.
