Bob Dylan Performs 'Blind Willie McTell'

Performs for Scorsese tribute at Critics Choice Awards

Bob Dylan performed an absolutely stellar version of "Blind Willie McTell" at the Critics Choice Awards as part of a tribute to Martin Scorsese. After introductory remarks by Leonardo DiCaprio and Olivia Harrison, Dylan delivered a stripped-down version of the track, originally recorded during his 1983 Infidels sessions, that left the A-list audience absolutely stunned. Scorsese directed Dylan's appearance in the 1978 concert film The Last Waltz and in 2005 he directed the acclaimed Dylan documentary No Direction Home. This was Dylan's first performance since the 2011 leg of the Never Ending Tour wrapped up in London in late November. He has yet to announce any future dates, but this was certainly a great way to kick off his likely 2012 tour.
