“Glad You Came”

The Wanted | 2011

The Wanted timed the release of this single with what they hoped was the perfect season to debut this light-hearted tune. "When we first heard 'Glad You Came' we just knew it had to be the first single from the new album," band member Tom Parker said. "We all felt it was a new, refreshing sound and a perfect song for the summer which really gets you in the mood for a party." The song was also featured in the third season of the TV show, "Glee."

“I Can See for Miles”

The Who | 1967

A foreboding accusation of lies and deception, "I Can See for Miles" was given a psychedelic hard-rock veneer by Pete Townshend's whiplash guitar riffs and Keith Moon's thundering drums. The song helped break the Who as stars in the United States, giving them a Top Ten hit in late 1967. "I swoon when I hear the sound," boasted Townshend in Rolling Stone. "The words, which aging senators have called 'drug oriented,' are about a jealous man with exceptionally good eyesight. Honest."
