“Bangarang”

Skrillex | 2011

The title track off this Grammy-winning dubstepper's fourth EP, full of violent blips and rubbery bursts, is for total dance floor bliss. On it, DJ-producer Sonny Moore, aka Skrillex, ends with, "And yo I'm eatin' fun dip right now, not giving a fuck," which sums up how he rolls: as the ultimate party host. "A few hundred people might be bitching on a message board, but you can go to a festival right now and find 100,000 people dancing to my music," he told Rolling Stone. "No one gives a fuck," he added, as if chanting his own song's mantra.

“I Can See for Miles”

The Who | 1967

A foreboding accusation of lies and deception, "I Can See for Miles" was given a psychedelic hard-rock veneer by Pete Townshend's whiplash guitar riffs and Keith Moon's thundering drums. The song helped break the Who as stars in the United States, giving them a Top Ten hit in late 1967. "I swoon when I hear the sound," boasted Townshend in Rolling Stone. "The words, which aging senators have called 'drug oriented,' are about a jealous man with exceptionally good eyesight. Honest."
