Elliphant – real name Ellinor Olovsdotter – might have been born in Stockholm, but she developed her musical style during a summer spent listening to bass music in the U.K. Accordingly, her latest EP, Look Like You Love It, features contributions by everyone from Swedish pop wiz Dr. Luke to dubstep pioneer Skrillex, who was featured on the dramatic head-banger "Only Getting Younger."
Fans of that song can check out its five-track remix EP, released last week, and psych ward music video, premiered above. "'Only Getting Younger' is about a lot of things – youngsters, crew, life, stayin' together," she tells Rolling Stone. "It's about being however you see yourself, not how other people see you."
At the end of September, Elliphant will embark on a fall tour supporting Charli XCX, stopping at venues like D.C.'s 9:30 Club, New York's Webster Hall, Austin's Emo's and L.A.'s Mayan Theatre. Only Getting Younger, released via Ten/Kemosabe/Mad Decent, can be purchased here.
