The teenage Brooklyn rapper Joey Bada$$ and his Pro Era crew arrived in a big way this year with 1999, an insightful yet raw EP that showcased Joey's dexterous, gruff flow and Pro Era's forward-thinking rhymes. The group is currently prepping a mixtape, Peep the Apocalypse, for December 21st release but, before that, they let Rolling Stone tag along as they traveled in their van to a show in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
