Turns out Fugees rapper and political activist Wyclef Jean is a supporter of polarizing Rebublican superstar Sarah Palin. "I am a huge fan of Sarah Palin," Jean told Womens Wear Daily at a party for the Donna Karan Collection in New York. "She’s rad. She’s shrewd. She’s cool. Because at the end of the day, I’m for the people, because this is the United States of America. This is what America’s really about. Anyone should have the right to say, ‘Look, I can do the job, and this is what qualifies me to do the job.'"

Jean, who unsuccessfully ran for president in his native Haiti last year, admits that his opinion of Palin is unpopular, at least in his household. "Now my wife probably will debate and disagree with me," he said. "I’m not saying she could be the next president, you know, but there’s something about her. Heavy debates in my house. Whenever I say Sarah Palin, people think I’m crazy, but I like her, I do. I can like whoever. This is America, right?"

“Baby Got Back”

Sir Mix-a-Lot | 1992

While watching a Budweiser commercial during the Super Bowl, Sir Mix-a-Lot thought the skinny female models in the ad didn’t represent reality. So he wrote this ode to ample bottoms, featuring its famous to-the-point lyric: “I like big butts and I cannot lie.” MTV banished the video, featuring shaking booties and sexually suggestive fruit, to 9 p.m. or later. “I thought my career was over,” he told Rolling Stone. “Then I called Rick Rubin, and I told him the video was banned, and he was like, 'Great!' We sold another 2 million records.”
