Church's most recent album, The Outsiders, quickly topped the country albums chart upon its release in February and remains in the Top Five. Rolling Stone praised the record as "weirder, louder – and even more badass" than the singer's previous releases, saying that its success "raises the bar of the possible in an overcautious industry."
