Wilson Phillips will celebrate their 20th anniversary as a band by releasing Dedicated, a forthcoming album featuring covers of songs by the Beach Boys and the Mamas and the Papas. The group's members are, of course, children of members from both bands – Wendy and Carnie Wilson are the daughters of Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson, and Chynna Phillips is the child of the Mamas and the Papas' John and Michelle Phillips.
This isn't the first time the group have recorded songs penned by their parents. Versions of the Beach Boys' "In My Room" and the Mamas and the Papas' "Monday, Monday" were featured on their 2004 disc California. The new album was made without creative input from their family members, though the group did bring in Owen Elliot, the daughter of Mamas and the Papas singer Cass Elliot, to sing on "Dedicated to the One I Love."
The track listing for Wilson Phillips' Dedicated is as follows:
"California Dreamin'"
"Wouldn't It Be Nice"
"Dedicated to the One I Love
"Don’t Worry Baby"
"Twelve-Thirty"
"I Can Hear Music"
"Monday, Monday"
"Do It Again"
"Got a Feeling"
"Fun, Fun, Fun"
"God Only Knows"
"Good Vibrations"
