Spoon performed their mesmerizing new song "I Ain't the One" on Thursday's Late Late Show. Singer-guitarist Britt Daniel crooned in his trademark rasp, backed by a soulful rhythm section and silky dual keyboards.

"I Ain't the One" highlights the indie-rock band's ninth LP, Hot Thoughts, out March 17th. On Wednesday, the band performed another album standout, the fiery, disco-tinged title-track, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Last month, the Austin quintet released a quirky video for art-funk tune "Can I Set Next to You."

Hot Thoughts follows Spoon's 2014 album, They Want My Soul. It's the group's first LP with new label Matador since their 1996 debut, Telephono.

The band will celebrate the release with a three-night residency at Austin's the Main on March 14th through 16th, followed by a performance the following night at Waterloo Records. They kick off a North American tour April 27th in Mobile, Alabama.
