Watch Sia's Martial Arts-Themed Video for 'Alive'

Singer-songwriter co-directed powerful video for anthemic new song

Even without the help of Maddie Ziegler, Sia keeps her videos in motion and featuring extremely young talent. In her new video for the anthemic new single "Alive," the singer ensures that martial arts takes center stage.

Sia and Daniel Askill co-directed the video, in which a young martial artist shows off their moves alone in a warehouse while wearing a black belt uniform and black and platinum Sia wig (as displayed on the single and album cover art for her new album This Is Acting). The impressive moves match perfectly with Sia's massive vocals on the track she co-wrote with Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr. during Adele's sessions for 25.

Earlier this week, Sia released a second song from the 25 sessions as her own single: the liberating "Bird Set Free" also co-penned by Adele and Jesso. The singer's new album will be released on January 29th and feature only songs she had intentionally written for other artists. This weekend, Sia will be the musical guest on the controversial Donald Trump episode of Saturday Night Live.
