A year after Missy Elliott took part in Katy Perry's Super Bowl halftime show, "a hundred million people" will again see the "Work It" rapper Sunday thanks to her presence in an Amazon Echo commercial scheduled to run during the Big Game. The all-star ad features Alec Baldwin, Jason Schwartzman, former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino and a new football-themed Elliott song titled "Pep Rally," which she debuted in full prior to the ad's Sunday night arrival.
"Pep Rally," Elliott's first new track since her comeback single "WTF (Where They From)," is powered by a drumline beat and marching band horns. "Bouncing and bouncing, now stop, drop, rock and roll / And yeah, we get cracking like we up at the Super Bowl," Elliott says on the timely track. "Quarterback on the field / Football player runnin', you know he got skills / At the bowl game, pep rally over here."
"Pep Rally" is available to purchase now through Amazon and streamable through Amazon Prime Music. It's unclear if "Pep Rally" is destined for Elliott's upcoming new album.
