For those that missed the real thing, Madonna's Rebel Heart world tour is the subject of a new concert documentary set to air Friday, December 9th, on Showtime. Above, watch an exclusive preview of the film: the superstar's reinvigorated take on her 2015 track "Bitch I'm Madonna."
For her most recent tour, which featured the live debut of the hit single featuring Nicki Minaj, Madonna chose a Japanese samurai theme for the staging of the song. With her female dancers and a kimono costume, the pop icon starts with simple choreography to the tune that intensifies with the film's hypnotic editing. As the song builds, she begins stage-fighting her male dancers for a video-game-esque treatment of the Diplo-produced EDM-trap anthem. Minaj even makes a brief appearance via video during a portion of her verse.
Madonna: Rebel Heart Tour is the latest Showtime music doc, following films from a wide range of artists including the Rolling Stones, One Direction and Lenny Kravitz. Premiering Friday at 9 p.m. ET/PT, it will highlight the career-spanning set list of her most recent tour, which ended in March.
