Los Angeles rock band The Go-Go's reunited at the Billboard Music Awards with most of the band's "classic" lineup: Jane Wiedlin, Belinda Carlisle, Charlotte Caffey and Gina Schock. The band recently announced their farewell tour, which will kick off this August.
The Go-Go's performed one of their first songs, the endlessly catchy "We Got the Beat," from their 1981 debut album Beauty and the Beat. The song would top the Billboard charts for six weeks in a row. Wiedlin rocked out on the guitar, with Carlisle pumping up the crowd to her right.
"After a 38-year run, we are gearing up for one last blast of a summer tour," the band told Entertainment Weekly. "We feel so lucky and so grateful to have had the incredible support of our fans for so long. We can't wait to get out on the road and give the people what they want: some loud, fast music and a great party!"
