Watch Flaming Lips' Unsettling 'Nidgy Nie' Video

Psychedelic band squirms underneath plastic in clip for 'Oczy Mlody' instrumental

The Flaming Lips released a trippy, unsettling video for 'Oczy Mlody' instrumental "Nidgy Nie (Never No)."

The Flaming Lips create a disturbing, psychedelic atmosphere on the new "Nidgy Nie (Never No)" video. Singer Wayne Coyne dances in a winter coat as his bandmates perform under a layer of plastic.

"Nidgy Nie" is a synth-fueled instrumental from the band's newly released Oczy Mlody, their first LP of original material since 2013's The Terror. In recent weeks, they promoted the new album with mind-altering official videos for "The Castle," "Sunrise (Eyes of the Young)" and "How?", along with a lyric clip for the Miley Cyrus-featured "We A Family."

On Wednesday, the Lips performed "The Castle" on The Tonight Show, and Coyne joined Fred Armisen, Queen Latifah and host Jimmy Fallon to play Charades spinoff "Humannequins."

Coyne described the futuristic Oczy Mlody, produced by longtime Lips collaborator Dave Fridmann, as "Syd Barrett meets A$AP Rocky, and they get trapped in a fairy tale from the future."
