Watch Animal Collective's Seizure-Inducing 'FloriDada' Video

Band decorates first 'Painting With' single with bright colors and "alien love story"

Animal Collective have released their bonkers, seizure-coaxing video for "FloriDada," the first single off their upcoming LP 'Painting With'

Animal Collective will release their new LP Painting With on February 19th, and following the arrival of the album's introductory single "FloriDada," the band have unveiled the bonkers, seizure-coaxing new video for the track. The "FloriDada" video – which tells "an alien love story touchingly human and awash in Technicolor," according to the band – ties into the artistic theme of Animal Collective's new album with a cavalcade of bright colors and different mediums.

The video, directed by Adult Swim vets PFFR, features computer-generated humanoids, a dancing solar system and a hand-painted, restless outline of the state of Florida. At the beginning of the video, a preface warns "Viewer discretion is advised - the video has been identified to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy," and that cautionary notes come to full force during the video's manic closing minute. In addition to its YouTube debut, the video will also air early Saturday morning during Adult Swim's Toonami block on Cartoon Network.

Animal Collective will embark on their world tour in support of Painting With February 19th with a gig at Philadelphia's Union Transfer.
