2 Chainz dropped by Larry Wilmore's The Nightly Show on Tuesday not to rap, but to share his political insight. Before bringing out his guest, Wilmore took a moment to "acknowledge a loss in the comedy community:" Ben Carson, or "Black Droopy the Dog," suspending his presidential campaign. "Why do candidates suspend their campaigns instead of just quitting anyway?" Wilmore asked. 2 Chainz was on-hand to clarify in a segment titled "2 Chainz Explainz."

"Suspending your campaign is all about the money, Larry," the rapper said. "See, if you suspend your campaign instead of quit, you can still raise money from suckers who don't know you dropped out of the game. Then the federal government will give you matching dollars for those same funds so you can stack yo' money, stack yo' money, and stack yo' money until you need a ladder. And then your campaign is out of debt."

2 Chainz recently teamed with Lil' Wayne for a new collaborative LP, Collegrove.
