Video: Cee Lo Gets Suave in 'It's OK' Clip

December 3, 2010 5:10 PM ET

Cee Lo has released a new video for his song "It's OK," from his recent Lady Killer LP.

In "It's OK," Cee Lo — who was nominated for five Grammys on Wednesday night — continues the 1960s/Motown vibe of the video for the Grammy-nominated "Fuck You", but in a much more stylish, ethereal setting of city streets and swank apartments.

The video is loaded with retro decor, animation and typefaces (words from the lyrics pop up throughout the clip), and Cee Lo is accompanied throughout by three women in matching, vibrantly colored dresses. He pursues each one separately early in the clip, but all three join him at the end, performing Supremes-style synchronized dance moves.

“Too Close”

Next | 1998

Next was formed in Minneapolis when the uncle of Terry "T-Low" and Raphael "Tweety" Brown, who was a gospel choir director, introduced the brothers to Robert Lavelle "R.L." Huggar. Sounds of Blackness singer Ann Nesby groomed the R&B group before handing them over to Naughty by Nature's KayGee, who wrote and produced "Too Close." The idea for the song was sparked "from a conversation we had with several girls at a nightclub," explained T-Low. "It's talking about the club scene, with guys getting out of hand and the female telling him to back up, asking, 'What are you doing?'"
