Van Morrison had already landed a huge hit with "Brown Eyed Girl" when his third solo album Moondance was released, but the 1970 LP helped solidify Morrison's stature as a big-time artist. On October 22nd, Warner Bros. Records will release three remastered versions of the album, including a deluxe version and an expanded version that both contain previously unreleased tracks from the Moondance sessions. Here, Van Morrison jams out on "Into the Mystic," losing himself in the free-flowing and gently enveloping track.
It's one of several versions of the song included in the deluxe version, which comprises the original album, three discs of previous unreleased tracks from recording sessions for Moondance and a Blu-ray audio disc containing the original album in 5.1 surround sound. The expanded edition comes with two CDs that include 11 previously unreleased tracks. The standard edition will feature a remastered version of the original album.
