British trio will kick off 23-city trek with Coachella set in April

The xx will embark on a 23-city North American tour in support of their new album, 'I See You,' starting with a set at Coachella in April.

The xx will embark on a 23-city North American tour this spring in support of their upcoming third album, I See You.

The group will tour Europe though February and March before opening their U.S. leg with a set at Coachella April 14th. The xx will perform shows in San Francisco and Phoenix, Arizona on the 15th and 19th, before returning to Indio on the 21st for Coachella's second weekend. The British trio will then kick of a string of dates April 23rd at Rose Quarter Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon and wrap May 26th at Thompson's Point in Portland, Maine.

Tickets for the trek will go on sale January 13th at 10 a.m. local time, while a fan pre-sale will begin January 10th at 12 p.m. ET – though according to Pitchfork, some fans have already received free tickets from the xx in the mail (the group did the same thing last year when they announced their European tour). More ticket information is available via the xx's website.

The xx will release I See You January 13th via Young Turks, their first LP since 2012's Coexist. The group has released a two tracks so far, "On Hold" and "Say Something Loving," while they also debuted "I Dare You" on Saturday Night Live.
