South by Southwest has once again updated the lineup of artists playing its music fest from March 11th to March 16th. Among the more notable additions, Kurt Vile will play a set of the sublime and lulling brand of downer rock that made his 2013 album Wakin on a Pretty Daze one of the year's best, while rising rapper Future might offer a larger preview of his forthcoming LP Honest beyond the track "Move That Dope."

As a far less serious addition, Macaulay Culkin will be leading his pizza-themed Velvet Underground parody band through a typically cheesy set (giving music fans plenty of time to figure out what to wear to "All the Pizza Parties").

The festival has also signed on numerous artists from a diverse range of genres. Hip-hop artists Chance the Rapper, Madlib, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Dam-Funk, Tech N9ne will perform, while Lee Fields and the Expressions and THEESatisfaction will bring soul and R&B/hip-hop, respectively. On the rock front, new additions include former Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould, hard rockers Deap Vally and J. Roddy Walston and the Business, indie rockers Warpaint and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Sun Kil Moon main man Mark Kozalek and former Girls man Christopher Owens.

Previous 2014 lineup announcements have seen Les Claypool and Charli XCX added to the Austin fest alongside Gary Numan and Los Lonely Boys. In past years, big-name artists have been announced at the last minute, including Prince and Justin Timberlake
