Click to listen to Stephen Stills' 'Forty-Nine Reasons'
On March 26th, Rhino will release Carry On, a sprawling new Stephen Stills box set comprising tracks spanning his 50-year career, including essentials like "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" and "Love the One You're With," as well as live cuts, new mixes and 25 previously unreleased tracks (including a 1970 guitar jam with friend Jimi Hendrix). Now you can take an exclusive first listen to one of those never-before-heard cuts, a demo called "Forty-Nine Reasons," which evolved into the song "49 Bye Byes" on Crosby, Stills and Nash in 1970. This version of the tune features somber verses edged with warbling guitar that jumps with ease into a jaunty piano chorus.
