Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks' new single "Senator" may be one of the year's best indie rock songs, but since its best hook happens to include the word "blowjob," it's pretty much impossible to play it on the radio. To get around this, Malkmus has set up a contest in which fans can suggest a new word that the former Pavement frontman can edit into the song and send to radio stations.

In the song, Malkmus sings "I know what the senator wants / what the senator wants is a blowjob." There's a lot of ways you can go with it, really. You can switch out one syllable and get "Blow Pop" or "nose job." You can be very literal and suggest something like "cloture," or shoot for total nonsense like "goat glob." Whatever your choice, you can submit it to WhatDoesTheSenatorWant.com, and the winner will get a copy of a one-of-a-kind 7-inch single featuring the radio edit featuring their word or phrase.
