Springsteen Unveils New Video For "My Lucky Day"

Bruce Springsteen has unveiled a new video for "My Lucky Day," the second song released from his upcoming Working On A Dream. Starting today, you can download the song exclusively through Amazon's MP3 Store for one week only. Besides being embedded above, the video is also up at Springsteen's MySpace page, where it's joined by two minutes of behind-the-scenes footage. Working On A Dream, Bruce's Brendan O'Brien-produced follow-up to last year's Magic, is due out in stores January 27th, five days before Springsteen will take the 50-yard line as part of this year's Super Bowl halftime show.

“Everyday People”

Sly and the Family Stone | 1968

"Everyday People" managed to trailblaze in two different ways -- it was one of the first pop hits to deal with the subject of racial harmony, and it utilized Larry Graham's "slap" technique on the bass guitar, which would soon be copied by countless other bassists. Graham once said about his pulsating style, "I'd never done that before … that's where the freedom of creativity came in for the band, that we'd be allowed to do that." In 1978, the song's line "Different strokes for different folks" would be borrowed for the title of the hit television show Diff'rent Strokes.
