Swedish DJ Eric Prydz is currently prepping his debut album, set for release later this year on EMI and Astralwerks. Before then, he'll release Eric Prydz Presents Pryda, a collection of songs recorded under his Pryda moniker, on May 22nd. You can check out a new track, "Sunburst," a steadily rocking dance cut that ebbs and flows with ease and which Prydz considers one of his favorites.

"I started working on that last summer when we had a house in Ibiza," says Prydz, "and we had the view from the pool. We could see all the way to Formentera and we could see all the way to the Mediterranean Sea. I just wanted to make a track that sounded like that view."

“Oh Sherrie”

Steve Perry | 1984

Steve Perry's girlfriend Sherrie Swafford was actually in the studio when Perry began writing this song--his lone Top Ten hit as a solo act--with two co-writers. The trio began at midnight one night with just "Oh, Sherrie!" and "hold on, hold on." Three hours later, they had a complete song. Swafford, however, had to wait until the next day to hear it. "Sherrie actually got tired and went to bed," Perry said. She also appeared in the video, but their relationship did not hold on for long.
