Seeing proof of such a lonely existence and reminding me of my childhood with him prompted this song," Photo Ops' Terry Price tells Rolling Stone. "The first verse is from his perspective when my mom just had to kick him out. The rest of the song is from my perspective as I look on a tragic empty house and life."
