The Smashing Pumpkins will reissue their 1998 album Adore this summer as an expansive box set packed with bonus material, including three discs of unreleased music and a live DVD from their 1998 charity tour, frontman Billy Corgan announced on the band's site.

"One thing that might excite fans of the album is that we were able to go back and locate elements from the original sessions that were stored digitally, but never used; such as some of the brilliant work done by Bon Harris," Corgan wrote. "In that, fresh mixes have been commissioned, shedding new light on not only the song's hidden foundations, but their futuristic nature as well."

Along with the extra material, the six-disc set will include a stereo version of Adore as remastered by Bob Ludwig (who handled some of the group's previous reissues as well), and the album as it was released in mono, available for the first time on CD.

Corgan also recently announced that the Smashing Pumpkins are back in the studio and would release two new albums, Monuments to an Elegy and Day for Night, in 2015. "For those interested in sound, think: 'guitars, guitars, guitars, and more guitars,'" Corgan wrote, "but more so on the epic side of things than, say, grossly metallic." The records will be the Pumpkins' first since 2012's Oceania, and the band hopes to have a new single out by the end of the year.

Corgan is also expected to release an experimental album called AEGEA in the coming weeks, which he described as "meditative and alien; but not alienating." Recorded six years ago, the two-record set will have an initial pressing of 250 vinyl copies, each one "hand-numbered and annotated" by Corgan and priced at $60.
