Band unveil another track off upcoming LP 'Oczy Mlody'

The Flaming Lips have unveiled another new track off their upcoming 'Oczy Mlody,' sharing their enlightening video for "Sunrise (Eyes of the Young)."

The Flaming Lips unveiled another new song from upcoming Oczy Mlody, with the enlightening video for "Sunrise (Eyes of the Young)."

The video features Wayne Coyne and company performing the dreamy single in a bright pink room along with footage of the sun bursting through clouds. The natural visuals are intercut with a nude woman – draped in rotoscoped bikini and devil horns – serving as the solar deity who orchestrates the rising and setting of the sun.

"Sunrise (Eyes of the Young)" follows previous Oczy Mlody singles "The Castle" and "How??" The album, due January 13th, is the Flaming Lips' first original album since 2013's The Terror.

Coyne claimed that the band's new LP is more "melodic" than their pervious works like Embryonic and The Terror. He added that Oczy Mlody sounds like "Syd Barrett meets A$AP Rocky and they get trapped in a fairy tale from the future."

The Flaming Lips will perform Friday night at Oklahoma City's The Criterion, a hometown gig that the band promises will debut more Oczy Mlody tracks.
