His first-time co-hosting gig at next month's ACM Awards may be a dream come true for Dierks Bentley fans but the, uh, "Riser" singer posted a comical video on his Facebook page exposing his "reoccurring nightmare," which suggests he might actually be a bundle of raw nerves.
The promotional clip for the 51st annual ACM Awards, which will air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3rd, opens with a completely naked (and pixilated) Bentley taking the stage and promptly executing a martial-arts kick, greeting his fellow country stars who are captured with looks ranging from pleasantly surprised (Wynonna) to completely nonplussed (Merle Haggard). "It looks like he wants to kick my ass," a confused Bentley says, still oblivious to his nakedness and even more puzzled at the stone-faced reactions from Jason Aldean and Garth Brooks (who actually appears on the verge of tears).
Once he's jolted back to reality, Bentley (dressed in blue pajamas) pops up in bed and breaths a heavy sigh of relief. The singer, whose latest single and tour are both titled "Somewhere on a Beach" (and no, it's not a nude beach), will be joined by veteran ACM Awards host Luke Bryan for the show, which sees Eric Church and Chris Stapleton leading the pack of nominees. Bentley has a Male Vocalist of the Year nomination and his (completely G-rated) "Riser" clip is up for Video of the Year.
The ACM Awards air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3rd, at 8:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
