Singer-songwriter Cam made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 21st, where she performed her current single "Mayday." She previously introduced the single during a daytime segment of Ellen.
For a song about realizing the end of a relationship and needing to take the hard steps to move on, "Mayday" is remarkably hopeful the way Cam presents it on Kimmel. Beginning with minimal instrumentation, she sings earnestly but with a sturdy confidence. By the conclusion, her full band has given the song a soaring rock & roll treatment that diverges from the melancholy take on her album Untamed.
Additionally, Cam and band performed her breakout smash "Burning House" for the Kimmel audience. Watch it below.
Cam is heading into the 51st ACM Awards on April 3rd as the evening's most-nominated female artist. In addition to ACM New Female Vocalist, Cam is in the running for Single, Song and Video of the Year for "Burning House."
