Power ballad's clip was made with assistance from fans

5 Seconds of Summer have released the emotional, fan-assisted clip for power ballad "Jet Black Heart"

5 Seconds of Summer helped put together the scenic, emotional video for new single "Jet Black Heart" with some help from their fans. The power ballad appears on the Australian pop-punk band's sophomore LP Sounds Good Feels Good.

"We asked our fans to help make this video," the screen reads at the beginning of the clip. "We wanted to hear your stories. We were overwhelmed by the response. This video goes out to you."

As the clip begins, scenes of fans singing along to the ballad are shown. Each of the band members are also spotted in various locations, singing their parts of the track.

Bassist Calum Hood and guitarist Michael Clifford co-wrote the single with former Evanescence member David Hodges and Jon Green. The track has a much darker tone than previous singles "She's Kinda Hot" and "Hey Everybody!" Around the LP's October release, the band announced a world tour for 2016 which will include stops at legendary venues like Madison Square Garden and London's O2 Arena.
