Second Batch of Private Chris Brown and Rihanna Photos Leak

June 1, 2009 10:16 AM ET

Another round of private photos of onetime couple Chris Brown and Rihanna leaked this weekend, according to TMZ. Earlier this month, a batch of R-rated shots of the pair hit the Web. The new trio of photographs depict the couple in happier times, smiling as they kiss. The source of the leaks has still not been determined, but the timing seems suspicious since the photos paint Brown as a loving boyfriend rather than an abuser. Brown is still facing two charges stemming from his alleged February attack on the "Umbrella" singer.

The photos book-ended a busy week in the Rihanna and Brown story. First, Brown appeared in a video with Bow Wow in which the embattled singer insisted "I ain't a monster," called blogs "liars" and revealed his new album would be called Graffiti. The next day, Brown was sued by a paparazzo who claimed the singer's bodyguards assaulted him at a Los Angeles gym. Rihanna also made news last week when she starred in the video for Kanye West's latest 808s & Heartbreak video, "Paranoid."

At a pre-trial hearing on May 28th, Rihanna found out that she would be called to testify on June 22nd against Brown and discuss the specifics of their alleged February 8th altercation, which left Rihanna with "horrific" injuries and Brown charged with two felonies. Brown pleaded not guilty to the charges. Rihanna's lawyer said his client would cooperate with the prosecution.

“Oh Sherrie”

Steve Perry | 1984

Steve Perry's girlfriend Sherrie Swafford was actually in the studio when Perry began writing this song--his lone Top Ten hit as a solo act--with two co-writers. The trio began at midnight one night with just "Oh, Sherrie!" and "hold on, hold on." Three hours later, they had a complete song. Swafford, however, had to wait until the next day to hear it. "Sherrie actually got tired and went to bed," Perry said. She also appeared in the video, but their relationship did not hold on for long.
