It seems that everybody is vying to get a song on Sam Hunt's next album, the follow-up to his monster debut Montevallo. Even Snoop Dogg.
When the rapper, along with G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha, appeared as Hunt's surprise guests at Stagecoach this past weekend, Snoop Dogg left behind a parting gift: a number of song pitches from writers in Snoop's publishing company. "He came on the bus and played me a few songs before we played the show," Hunt tells Rolling Stone Country. "I was just flattered that he was interested enough to offer those opportunities and contribute. I love that, stereotypes aside, he loves music and genres don't matter."
As far as work on that second album is going, Hunt said he's focused on touring right now. "It's hard for me to balance those two worlds. I'm just collecting as many ideas as I can, whether they're mine of someone else's, and just getting ready to go back and hole up in Nashville this fall and find out what works best for the future of our music."
Hunt, who performed his new single "Make You Miss Me" during Sunday's American Country Countdown Awards, will play Chase Field in Phoenix on May 7th, part of Kenny Chesney's Spread the Love Tour.
