Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright was married to producer Jorn Weisbrodt at his home in Montauk, New York, yesterday, the New York Post reports.

The couple exchanged vows in front of 250 guests including Yoko Ono, Carrie Fisher, Lou Reed, Jullianne Moore, Mark Ronson, Laurie Anderson and artist Cindy Sherman.

The reception was held at the Clam Bar in nearby Napeague, where guests dined on steamers and cherry tomatoes, lobster rolls and, of course, chowder; and listened to speeches from Marina Abramovic and Irving Benson, before leaving with a jar of local plum jam with the inscription "Rufus + Jorn's Hochzeit." ("Hochzeit" is German for "wedding.")

Wainwright's most recent record, Out of the Game, came out earlier this year, and he told Rolling Stone he's currently working with Tony-winning director Edna Walsh on a movie musical tentatively titled The Great White Way. "It's loosely based on my life – very, very loose," said Wainwright, whose songs will score the production. "Perhaps it's more of a kind of mythic Rufus that he's trying to create. It stems from some of my past glories and tragic endings, but it's by no means a biography of me or anything."
