On “Romance,” this indie-rock supergroup, comprising members of Sleater-Kinney, Helium and the Minders, employs all their tools: raucous guitar riffs, background "gang: vocals, bouncy drum fills -- they’re all on display in this upbeat romp. "That’s why people call them 'power trios,' because everything’s firing at once,” Carrie Brownstein said. "It really helps the dynamic, and I think it helps songs build, and it allows them to deconstruct in the middle of the song, too.”
