Mumford & Sons and Vampire Weekend are reportedly among the headliners for this year's Lollapalooza, according to the Chicago Tribune. The lineup is also said to include the Postal Service, Phoenix, the Killers and the National for the festival, which takes place August 2nd-4th at Grant Park in Chicago. The entire lineup is expected to be announced next month.
If officially confirmed, a Lollapalooza gig will mark a return to the fest for Vampire Weekend, who first played in 2009. The band's new album, Modern Vampires of the City, is due out May 7th. A Lolla show would be one of several festival appearances for Phoenix, who have booked a short run of U.S. dates this spring that includes stops at Coachella in California, leading up to the April release of their new album Bankrupt!
It will also mark a return to the Lolla stage for the Grammy-winning Mumford & Sons and the Killers, who both have performed at the long-running festival over the past four years.
