Red Hot Chili Peppers to Release New Album in August
Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced that their 10th album, I'm With You, will come out on August 30th. The record was produced by their longtime collaborator Rick Rubin and will feature the debut of the band's new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. [RHCP]

Radiohead Launch Remix Series
Radiohead will kick off a series of 12-inch remixes featuring new versions of songs from their most recent album The King of Limbs. The first in the series, which will be released by the XL and Ticker Tape labels on July 4th, will feature a remix of "Little By Little" by Caribou and a mix of "Lotus Flower" by Jacques Greene. Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' Jacket Up For Auction
The iconic red jacket worn by Michael Jackson in the music video for "Thriller" will be sold at an auction at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills on June 25th and 26th. The jacket, which was autographed by the late singer, is expected to sell for for $200,000-$400,000. The auction will also include items related to the Beatles, Nirvana, Madonna, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and other major stars. [Press release]

Primus Return With First Album in 11 Years
Primus are set to release Green Naugahyde, their first new record in 11 years, on September 13th. The new disc, which was produced by band leader Les Claypool, will have a sound similar to the band's earliest work. [Press release]

Producer Martin Rushent Dead at 63
Martin Rushent, producer of albums by Human League, the Buzzcocks, the Go-Go's and the Stranglers, died on Saturday at the age of 63. Rushent began his career as an engineer in the Seventies, with early credits on albums by T-Rex and Fleetwood Mac. [BBC]
