Rolling Stone’s South by Southwest Lineup Announced
Acts include Queens of the Stone Age, Cee Lo, The Meat Puppets, Lupe Fiasco and Wiz Khalifa

NEW YORK, NY (March 9, 2011) – Rolling Stone announced today their official lineup for South by Southwest music at La Zona Rosa in Austin.
Rolling Stone will kick off two nights and three days of live music programming with Queens of the Stone Age, the Black Angels and J Mascis Wednesday night. This will be the first U.S. show in three years for QOTSA – and the first date on a tour in which the band will play its debut album start to finish.
On Thursday night Rolling Stone is proud to co-present a show with Atlantic Records featuring Cee Lo, Wiz Khalifa and Lupe Fiasco. Earlier that day, Rolling Stone hosts an afternoon of music at La Zona Rosa featuring Raphael Saadiq, Gary Clark Jr., Tracy Bonham and Austin’s own The Meat Puppets
On Friday and Saturday, the party continues with Jessica Lea Mayfield, Nicole Atkins, The Joy Formidable and more. “We’re really excited about the bands playing the Rolling Stone parties this year,” says Rolling Stone’s Jason Fine. “From established acts like the Queens and Cee Lo to some of our favorite new artists like Jessica Lea Mayfield and Dawes, this will be four days of killer music.”
You will find live coverage and live streaming video of all of Rolling Stone’s SXSW events at RollingStone.com throughout the week.
