October 29, 2010 3:59 PM ET

In this teaser from Swedish House Mafia forthcoming Take One DVD, one member says, as they drive up to a venue they"ll pack later that day, 'It looks kinda massive and big — we"re kinda massive and big as well, so it works out well!" It has been a whale of a year for the dance act, with a massive hit single ('One [Your Name]," featuring Pharrell) and another biggie, 'Miami 2 Ibiza," just released; many sold-out performances (including two more this month, Miami on the 27th and Las Vegas on Halloween); the compilation album Until One out on October 26th — and, of course, this DVD next month.

The Commodores | 1984

The year after soul legends Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson died, songwriter Dennis Lambert asked members of the Commodores to give him a tape of ideas. "And the one from Walter Orange has this wonderful bass line," said co-writer Franne Golde. "Plus the lyric, 'Marvin, he was a friend of mine' ... Within 10 minutes, we had decided it should be something like a modern R&B version of 'Rock 'n' Roll Heaven,' and I just said, 'Nightshift.'" This tribute to the recently deceased musicians was the band's only hit without Lionel Richie, who had left for a solo career.
