Electric Zoo has become one of the festival season's largest EDM gatherings. In this exclusive Electric Zoo DJ set mixed by the DJ AutoErotique, the Dim Mak label presents some of its artists' finest cuts from the 2012 Dim Mak World Tour Series. Heavy-hitters like the Bloody Beetroots, Datsik, Aoki, 12th Planet and Skrillex show up for the 40-minute party with new and unreleased tracks of intense electro and wobbly dubstep wubs.

"Electric Zoo is one of the best festivals for dance music in America and in one of the best cities in the world, New York. I'm excited that this year Dim Mak has our own stage with a sick lineup and honored to be rockin' the festival three years in a row strong," Aoki tells Rolling Stone.

The Dim Mak Electric Zoo 2012 Mix is available for download on Dim Mak's Soundcloud. Electric Zoo 2012 kicks off today in New York.

Song Stories

“Tonight's the Night”

The Shirelles | 1960

The lead cut and title track from this girl group's debut album, "Tonight's the Night" was written by 19-year-old bandmember Shirley Owens, who sings lead, and producer Luther Dixon. The band from Passaic, New Jersey met in high school, first calling themselves the Pequellos. The song's frank thoughts about sexual and emotional surrender was racy for the time, but that didn't stop the Chiffons from cutting a similar version immediately after the original came out. "We were the first female group to write some of our own material," band member Beverly Lee recalls. "We did have some say-so in our writing."
